"The world in which Deadly Ponies lives has always contained many different stories and characters. The creation of Deadly Ponies Precious adds another chapter to this story."

The range creates something more private and designed to be cherished, made from “precious” materials, such as bone, silver and gold.

Deadly Ponies Precious delves into fine jewellery body ornaments, with a range of pieces referencing many themes from twisted fairy tales, to mourning jewelry from Victorian ages.

Many of the pieces in the range engage in a sort of life and death balance, Animal claws and legs are mixed with chaste white bone, creating a modern classic in the process.

This family will grow with new members added, and like a family heirloom, will be a unique object cherished till the death.

All Deadly Ponies Precious Jewellery is designed and made in New Zealand.

Winter 2011 collection

Marble sculptures, elegantly bandaged and adorned with the latest Deadly Ponies jewellery, set the scene for one of New Zealand’s top fashion stylists and photographers, Karen Inderbitzen-Waller, to shoot the latest range for Deadly Ponies Precious (DPP).

The latest publicity shoot is the first collaborative project between DPP and Karen Inderbitzen-Waller and is bound to impress.  The photographs, shot in Auckland’s Winter Garden, embody a magical presence with the sculptures appearing to come to life under a weight of jewellery.

“The decision to drape jewellery and bandages over marble sculptures was a natural fit with the ‘classical with an edge’ vision for DPP,” says DPP designer Liam Bowden.

“I’ve always been a big fan of Karen’s work and am thrilled with the result. I’m sure the photographs will make an impact here and when we launch the range in Asia.”

The DP Precious collection, now into its fourth season, is due to be launched into the vibrant Asian market later in the year.
The latest additions to the DPP family include arrow heads with real quail feather frowns, hawk talons formed into rings hippo heads holding watermelon coral beads beads
